Poshmark to Depop: keep your best four photos (cover, back, tag, flaw), turn the title into the first line of the description, add five hashtags, and price a little lower because Depop keeps far less. Depop to Poshmark: write a brand-first title, add more photos, and price about 25% higher to cover the 20% fee and offers.
Poshmark and Depop overlap more than most pairs. Both are fashion-first, both run on phones, and a lot of the same brands sell on each. They still reward different listings. Poshmark is built around a title, a stack of photos and offers. Depop is built around a scroll: a strong cover photo, a description that reads like a caption, and hashtags.
The other big difference is money. Poshmark takes 20% of most sales. Depop charges US sellers no selling fee, only processing of 3.3% + $0.45 (what Depop's fee change means). That gap changes how you should price the same item on each app. For which kinds of items sell better where, see Depop vs Poshmark. This post is about moving a listing across.

How to Cross-List From Poshmark to Depop
1. Choose which photos make the cut
This is the part people get wrong. A Poshmark listing might have 12 photos. Most Depop sellers get four, so each slot has to earn its place:
- Cover: modeled or a styled flat lay, the whole item in frame. Depop is a feed, and this photo is the listing.
- Back or detail: the second-most-asked-about angle.
- Brand and size tag in one shot.
- The worst flaw, if there is one. Otherwise, fabric or hardware close-up.
If you can shoot a 10 to 15 second video of the item on a body or being handled, use it. It covers fit and drape better than the photos you had to cut.
2. Turn the title into the first line
Depop has no title field. Search leans on the start of your description, so move the useful words of your Poshmark title there, in plain language:
- Poshmark title: "Urban Outfitters BDG Low Rise Baggy Jeans NWT"
- Depop first line: "BDG low rise baggy jeans, light wash, brand new with tags. Size 26"
Then add measurements (waist, rise, inseam for jeans; pit to pit and length for tops), anything about fit, and flaws. Keep it under 1,000 characters.
3. Add five hashtags
Depop allows five, and they help people browsing a style find you. Mix them: one or two for the item (#bdgjeans, #baggyjeans), one or two for the aesthetic (#y2k, #90sstyle), and one broad category. Only tag what actually fits. Our Depop algorithm guide covers why.
4. Map the condition
Poshmark mostly asks whether an item is New With Tags. Depop asks you to grade it. NWT and NWOT both go under brand new (say "with tags" in the description, since Depop does not separate them). Used items go under excellent, good or fair. If you described an item as EUC on Poshmark, that is usually used, excellent.
5. Price it lower than on Poshmark
Depop keeps much less of each sale, so you can undercut your own Poshmark price and still net the same:
An item at $40 on Poshmark nets $32. On Depop, about $34 nets you the same $32. Depop buyers also make offers and haggle in messages, so a price around $36 to $38 leaves room to negotiate and still beats your Poshmark payout.
If a sale comes through a Boosted listing, Depop adds a 12% fee (it was 8% until March 2026). A Boosted $40 sale nets about $33.43, close to what Poshmark pays. Boost your fast movers, not everything.
How to Cross-List From Depop to Poshmark
1. Write a real title
Pull the brand and item type out of your Depop description and lead with them: "Brandy Melville Zelly Cardigan Cream One Size". Poshmark shows size and color in their own fields, so the title can stay short and readable on a phone.
2. Add photos back

Poshmark lets you use up to 16. Add the angles Depop made you cut: extra details, measurements, the inside label. Keep the Depop cover as your first photo. It already works in a feed.
3. Drop most of the hashtags
Hashtags do little on Poshmark. Rewrite them as plain words in the description ("90s style, baggy fit"), which Poshmark search does read.
4. Price for the 20% and for offers
Divide your Depop payout by 0.8 to find the Poshmark price that nets the same. A $30 Depop sale nets $28.56, so the matching Poshmark price is about $35.70. Poshmark buyers almost always send offers, and you will want to send offers to likers too, so list it around $40.
Keep Both Copies in Sync
Depop and Poshmark buyers overlap, so a popular item can get bought on both within hours. Poshmark counts a seller cancellation toward a rate that can restrict your account above 3%, and on Depop a cancelled order is a full refund that comes out of your balance. Put the same short SKU on the last line of both descriptions so you can search it on each app, and delete the other copy the moment one sells. Our guide to selling on multiple platforms without double-selling has the full routine.
Doing It With a Tool
Full disclosure: FLIPSAIL is our product. Once Poshmark and Depop are connected, you can select items in your inventory, click Cross-list and pick the other marketplace. Depop shows fewer photos than Poshmark, so order your Poshmark photos best-first before you cross-list, then check the Depop copy: the cover, the first line of the description, and the hashtags, since Poshmark has none to carry over.
When either copy sells, FLIPSAIL removes the other from the cloud. Crosslisting is on the $30/month plan for all 8 marketplaces (14-day trial, no card). The free plan keeps sale detection and delisting running between 2 marketplaces, checking every 4 hours.
Adding eBay as a third marketplace? We cover that in how to cross-list from Poshmark to eBay.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I sell the same item on Poshmark and Depop?
Yes. Both allow it. Remove the other copy as soon as one sells, because cancelling a sold order counts against you on Poshmark and costs you a refund on Depop.
Is there a way to import Poshmark listings to Depop?
Neither app imports from the other. Crosslisting tools copy the listing for you, and you can also do it by hand in a few minutes per item. Either way, check the photos and description on Depop, since it shows fewer photos and uses hashtags.
How many photos can you post on Depop?
Most sellers can add up to 4 photos plus a video per listing, and Depop has been testing 8 photos with some sellers. Poshmark allows up to 16 photos plus a video.
Is Depop cheaper to sell on than Poshmark?
Yes, by a lot. Depop charges US sellers no selling fee, only 3.3% + $0.45 processing, while Poshmark takes 20% (or $2.95 under $15). A $40 sale nets $38.23 on Depop and $32.00 on Poshmark, before any Boost fee.
Should I price items the same on Depop and Poshmark?
No. Price Depop a bit lower and Poshmark higher. Poshmark takes 20% and buyers expect offers, so the same item usually lists about 20% to 25% higher on Poshmark to net the same.
