Run FLIPSAIL from ChatGPT or Claude
FLIPSAIL is a cross-listing assistant for Poshmark, Depop, eBay, Etsy, Mercari, Grailed, Vinted and Whatnot, and it works inside ChatGPT and Claude. Ask it to check your listings, cross-list, reprice or end extra copies; it previews every change to your listings and asks before it makes it.
The FLIPSAIL connector is a remote MCP server at https://www.flipsail.io/api/mcp. You add it to ChatGPT or Claude once and sign in with your FLIPSAIL account. It has 46 tools: 21 that only read (listings, sales, activity, what needs you) and 25 that change things, from cross-listing and price changes to relisting rules and automation settings. Every change to your listings, prices or automation settings is previewed, runs only after you say yes, and goes through the same checks as the FLIPSAIL dashboard.

Counts the items missing from Depop, checks which would be left out and why, then previews the cross-list. Up to 100 items a run.

Finds the items and shows each old and new price on both marketplaces before anything changes.

Saves a relisting rule. The preview says plainly that a relisted Poshmark listing loses its likes.

It shows you the change first.
Before a listing, price or setting changes, FLIPSAIL works out what it would do, item by item and price by price, and the chat shows you that summary. Nothing has changed yet.

Your yes is what lets it through.
The preview comes with a code that fits only those items and settings and lasts 10 minutes. Without it FLIPSAIL refuses the change, and it checks prices again just before it runs.

The work runs in the background.
FLIPSAIL queues the change the same way the dashboard does and posts, edits or takes down the listings on its own. Ask how it went and it reads back the activity.
- A price drop of more than 30% is refused unless you agree to that drop specifically.
- eBay offers and promotions, and relisting on eBay or Etsy (both charge fees for it), stay off until you've said yes to them by name.
- At most 300 listing changes a day across ChatGPT and Claude together.
- It can't see your marketplace passwords, change your billing, close your account, or connect or disconnect a marketplace.
- Every change it made is listed in your FLIPSAIL settings, next to the button that disconnects it.
Add it once in ChatGPT or Claude.
Both apps use the same link. These are the steps as of November 2026; app menus move, so the FLIPSAIL dashboard keeps the current ones.

- In ChatGPT, click Plugins in the left sidebar, then Add, then Add custom MCP server.
- Name it FLIPSAIL and paste the link under Connection. Leave Authentication on OAuth, tick “I understand”, and click Create as a plugin.
- Click Connect FLIPSAIL, sign in to FLIPSAIL if asked, and click Allow.
- In a new chat, type @FLIPSAIL, pick it, and ask.
FLIPSAIL isn't in ChatGPT's + menu; typing @FLIPSAIL is how a chat picks it.
Claude
- In Claude, open Connectors (claude.ai/settings/connectors).
- Click Add, then Add custom connector. Name it FLIPSAIL, paste the link as the server URL, and click Continue.
- Keep the sign-in options Claude finds, click Add, then click Connect.
- Sign in to FLIPSAIL if asked, and click Allow.
- Start a new chat and ask. If FLIPSAIL stays quiet, switch it on under + then Connectors.
Claude's free plan allows one custom connector.
Already on FLIPSAIL? Settings, then Marketplaces has the same steps with a Copy button, and says when the app has connected.
Questions about ChatGPT and Claude
Does it cost extra?
No. The connector comes with every FLIPSAIL plan, the 14-day trial included. It does what your plan lets you do in the dashboard, no more. Your ChatGPT or Claude plan is separate.
Do I need a paid ChatGPT or Claude plan?
Not for Claude: its free plan allows one custom connector. When FLIPSAIL was added to ChatGPT on October 30, 2026, a free ChatGPT account could add it without developer mode. OpenAI's rules for custom MCP servers vary by plan and by workspace, so a work account may need its admin.
What if ChatGPT or Claude gets something wrong?
Nothing on your listings changes from a guess: each change is previewed and waits for your yes, and FLIPSAIL itself refuses a change without it. Big price drops need a second yes, and there is a cap of 300 listing changes a day. If a sale was matched to the wrong item, the copies FLIPSAIL took down can be put back from the chat or the dashboard.
How do I disconnect it?
In FLIPSAIL, open Settings, then Marketplaces, and use the menu on the ChatGPT and Claude row. It lists recent changes and disconnects each app. It stops working within a minute. You can also remove FLIPSAIL from ChatGPT's Plugins or Claude's Connectors.
