Poshmark does not publish a share limit, so every number you read is a vendor's or seller's estimate. Vendors quote about 10,000 shares in 24 hours and a jail of 1 to 24 hours. FLIPSAIL's own data is lower: two accounts sharing from our cloud servers were both refused after about 1,000 shares in 3 to 5 hours, and we now cap cloud sharing at 800 a day, 45 to 90 seconds apart.
Share jail is what sellers call it when the Share button stops working. It is not an official Poshmark term. The article that gives the 10,000 figure, Vendoo's explainer, says so itself: the number comes from automation companies, and Poshmark does not publish a limit. We have tested one thing the others have not, which is what happened to real accounts when we automated the sharing. That part is below.
What does Poshmark officially say about sharing limits?
Nothing about a number. Poshmark's Community Guidelines say: "While Poshers are welcome to recruit human helpers, we don't allow Poshers to use unauthorized programs or other forms of automation to participate on Poshmark. This includes, but is not limited to, deleting and reposting content, liking, sharing, following, and unfollowing." The page lists no daily share cap and no jail duration. Sharing by hand is allowed, and automating it is a guideline violation, so any share bot, ours included, is used at the seller's own risk.
Sharing also matters less than it did. In October 2025 Poshmark's discovery update said sharing "counts as activity and refreshes your listings in the Just Shared sort in Search," and that sharing others' listings "no longer impacts listing visibility in the Feed." The payoff from very high volume is smaller, which is a reason to share less, not more.
How long does share jail last?
Vendoo's explainer says most restrictions last "between one and twenty-four hours," and that repeated violations can stretch to several days. That matches the folklore of a 24-hour lock. It is not what we saw. One of our flagged accounts was still being refused 28 hours after the restriction began, so plan on longer than a day if you hit it with automation.
What did FLIPSAIL see on its own accounts?
Two sellers have ever had FLIPSAIL share for them from the cloud, and both were flagged by Poshmark as suspected bots at almost exactly 1,000 shares. One hit 998 on September 23, 2026. The other hit 1,000 on October 4, about 210 shares an hour over five 30-minute cycles that each re-shared the seller's whole closet. After the flag, Poshmark refused every further share. The second account was still refused 28 hours later.
Two accounts is a small sample, and we cannot tell which factor tripped it: the total, the pace of roughly one share every 17 seconds, the repeated cycles over the same listings, or the fact that the requests came from a server address instead of the seller's home connection. The cause on our side was plain. A default of 8,000 shares a day never actually limited anything, and the lower limits written into our code were never applied.
We changed it. Cloud sharing now stops at 800 shares a day, counted across cloud and browser, with 45 to 90 seconds between shares. Closets with more than about 800 shareable listings will not get every listing shared from the cloud. Sharing from your own Chrome is different: it runs from your computer and your internet connection, up to the daily limit you set (8,000 by default). We have no verified safe number for the browser either, so we will not claim one. Poshmark automation lists what runs where.

What should you do if your shares stop working?
Stop all automation and wait at least 24 hours, and expect it could be longer. Do not keep pressing Share to test whether it is over. When you restart, use a much lower daily number than the one that tripped it, space the shares out, and do not run the same whole-closet cycle again and again. Poshmark's in-app bulk sharing came back in December 2025, so sharing a batch by hand is an option that carries no guideline risk. Our Poshmark bot guide covers the wider question of automation risk.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many shares will put me in Poshmark share jail?
Poshmark does not say. Vendors quote about 10,000 in 24 hours, but two FLIPSAIL cloud accounts were flagged at about 1,000 shares in 3 to 5 hours, so a fast pace from a server can trip it far earlier.
How long does Poshmark share jail last?
Vendors and sellers report 1 to 24 hours. One FLIPSAIL account was still refused after 28 hours, so wait at least a day.
Is sharing with a bot against Poshmark rules?
Yes. Poshmark's Community Guidelines say it does not allow unauthorized programs or other forms of automation for sharing, following, liking and relisting.
Is FLIPSAIL's Poshmark sharing safe?
No automation is risk-free. FLIPSAIL's cloud sharing is capped at 800 shares a day, spaced 45 to 90 seconds apart, after two accounts were flagged at about 1,000. In your own Chrome it runs up to the daily limit you set (8,000 by default), and we have no verified safe number for that either.
Can I get out of share jail sooner?
Not reliably. Stop sharing, wait at least a day, and restart slowly. We have no method that shortens it.
